Founder and President
Dr. Peter J. Bylsma is the founder and President of both Byblio Press and the Bylsma Foundation. He earned a bachelor’s degree magna cum laude in psychology from Wheaton College (IL) as well as a master’s in public administration (MPA) and a doctorate in education leadership and policy (EdD) from the University of Washington (Seattle).
He worked for 10 years in various Christian agencies before working 30 years in public service positions at the international, federal, state, and local levels. During that time, he researched many complex topics in an objective manner and published many reports and articles for busy leaders. He also was the editor of an academic journal that focused on education issues.
He is an accomplished athlete and has traveled extensively worldwide. He has lived in seven states and four other countries, and he now lives with his wife in the Puget Sound region of Washington state. As a nonprofit corporation, Byblio Press is required to have a Board of Directors that provides advice and accountability for its operations. Dr. Bylsma works with Board members to ensure the corporation conducts its business according to its stated purpose and meets its moral, financial, and legal obligations.

Stephanie Jones is a writer, educator, researcher, and consultant who has worked in the areas of learning and leadership development, school improvement planning, and program evaluation.
She has a doctorate in Human Development and Social Policy from Northwestern University and writes contemporary children’s fiction along with a Sub stack newsletter – What Magic? about creativity, curiosity, and possibility.
Stephanie is a longtime Seattleite and advocate for public education, family engagement, and books of all kinds.

Arianna Bryan is a business operations expert with more than a decade of experience in business efficiency, strategic planning, business systems administration, database development and analysis, and executive management.
She has a master’s in business administration (MBA) and joined the team to help launch the business and ensure the smooth operations of all business systems for years to come.
Arianna lives in the greater Seattle area with her husband and enjoys gardening and exploring the outdoors with their English Labrador Retriever named Clover.

JoAnna Weeks manages all the marketing, website design, and internet services for Byblio Press as well as for the Bylsma Foundation and The Short Bible publications.

Mike Sullivan
Mike Sullivan oversees the manuscript acceptance process and all editing and international services at Byblio Press. His diverse background includes work in fields of self-authorship, video editing, translation, and entertainment reviews.
Mike has a BA in Film from the University of Central Florida and writes Christian fiction. He wrote and published the fantasy novel Slaibron: A World Apart (2012) and has other projects in the works. In his free time, he is also a content creator and graphic artist.
Mike lives in Sweden with his wife and two sons, where he enjoys reading literature, watching American football, and the never-ending tasks of home improvement. He is fond of the Benjamin Franklin quote, “Either write something worth reading or do something worth writing.”

Those who publish books with us are the primary beneficiaries of our non-profit tax-exempt corporation. We save authors money by charging reasonable fees, and we increase their income by giving them all the royalties generated from the sale of their books. They also retain all the rights to their books, so they will benefit if the book is purchased by a traditional publisher or is made into a movie or TV series.
