We have a multi-step, transparent publishing process to help you share your work with the world and maximize your royalties. It all starts with making sure you have your manuscript and other required materials ready for submission, then submit a publishing proposal. For all the details and checklists to guide your proposal, visit Our Process.
We are a values-based nonprofit driven to spread good messages to the world. For more on how we select works to publish following any proposal submission, please read Publishing Eligibility.
In short, we will need your completed manuscript, preferably in our format to make editing easier, and your completed proposal. You’ll also need the funds to pay for all publishing services you elect as we progress through the publishing process. For all the details on what to prepare in advance of submitting your work for publication, visit Preparing Your Work, Finances, and How to Submit.
No, but it helps if you submit your manuscript for publication after formatting it as described in our style guidelines, noted on our Preparing Your Work page. You can also read more about how books are formatted through the publishing process, which you have the right to choose as we advise you on the process, as described on the Book Formats page.
We offer a full suite of publishing services with our production partners, including producing e-books and audiobooks and translating books into other languages. For a full list of those services, visit Publishing Services.
We pride ourselves by selecting our professional team and serving our clients with our core values at heart. In addition to our primary team of business experts, we also partner with editors, translators, and third-party production and marketing companies. Please read more online about Our Team.
Yes, a client’s signature is required on a number of official contracts provided throughout the publishing process, including an initial service agreement, a royalties agreement, and more. Additional service contracts also require a signature. For a full list of publishing contracts we may require and details about general contracting requirements, visit Contractual Terms & Agreements Disclosure.
As the author of your work, you will be responsible for four key areas of authorization throughout the publishing process: provision of the original work, service election and consent, correspondence, and payment. At the end of the process, the author is responsible for reviewing the proofs of the book and letting us know if any changes are to be made to the design or text. If there are errors found that occurred when converting the manuscript into the proof, the errors must be submitted on a corrections/proof form so the book design team can make the changes. To read the many details about each of these responsibilities, please visit Finances, Preparing Your Work and Our Process.
We are a nonprofit self-publishing company, which means our authors retain total control of how their works are published and total ownership of the book rights. Read more about self-publishing companies and style on our page, Traditional Publishing vs. Self-Publishing.
As a self-publishing company, the author retains the right to their original work, credit for their final published work, and at Byblio Press, 100% of royalties earned from book sales. More rights are extended to the authors of our books, as well as some rights we retain as the publishing company, as detailed on our page, Technical & Legal Issues.
We want to know your exact needs so that we can provide the perfect solution. Let us know what you want and we’ll do our best to help.
