why publish with us

Byblio Press is a non-profit self-publishing company designed by authors for authors. Our entire publishing process, production partnerships, and business systems were designed with the client experience in mind to help authors learn about their options, choose what path is best for them and their work, and be supported by the entire Byblio Press team every step of the way. Our tax-exempt status provides evidence that we are devoted to meeting the interests of our clients in a transparent and cost-effective way.

Our Authors Have The Final Word

As a self-publishing company, Byblio Press gives authors the freedom and control to produce the book they want to release to the public. All of our authors:

  • Retain full ownership and rights to all versions of their book as we guide them through the publishing process
  • Review all of our work before we move to the next step in the process
  • Have the final say about the book’s content and design
  • Receive 100% of the royalties generated from their published works
  • Can freely publish their book with another publisher, sell the rights to the book to a movie company, or do anything else they want with the material.

Publishing Perks

At Byblio Press, we use IngramSpark to produce print-on-demand (POD) copies, which boasts the following benefits for our authors':

  • Books can be printed and shipped almost anywhere in the world within a few days
  • Book production avoids large initial printing costs — authors don’t need to pay any printing costs or store books in a warehouse
  • Shipping costs are reduced as is the time it takes for customers to receive a book.

With IngramSpark, Byblio Press publishes our authors' books on a worldwide publisher’s network that includes 40,000+ bookstores and online retailers worldwide. Read more about these benefits below.

our DISTRIBUTION NETWORK

Once a book is published, all Byblio Press books are made available for sale through a number of distribution channels: our online bookstore, the Books in Print® database, and two leading book wholesalers in the United States, IngramSpark and Baker & Taylor. For orders made outside the USA, our international print network handles the speedy delivery of your books. Byblio Press books are also made available for sale online through external retailers, such as Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and other resellers that acquire books from the IngramSpark and Baker & Taylor distribution networks.*

Here the main retail outlets that buy books in their different formats:**

  • Founded in 1995, Amazon.com strives to help people worldwide find virtually anything they want to buy online. • All our audiobooks are available on Spotify via its Web Player and Findaway Voices platform.

*Although it may be possible to sell books directly to bookstores, booksellers prefer to deal with wholesalers and distributors rather than working with individual authors. Some retailers, such as the iBooks Store, are strictly for

e-books, but many offer the print,

e-book, and even audiobook versions on their websites.

**The landscape format of picture books with dimensions of 11 x 8.5 inches, the hardback format for picture books, or glossy interior paper for picture books may restrict their availability through some of these online resellers.
